Get a good paint with rust inhibitors and you should have results that work well, and looks better. Let us know what you decide, and post some pics.

I was gonna say same thing.
Its so abrasive, anything that rubs across it makes a mark. It starts looking ratty after a short while. I've seen lots of 4x4's and trucks do it. But it don't look good to me. Just my opinion.
I'd just go with Rustoleum and add a hardener.
