Parking at a Storage Facility

I was brainstorming about where to do my build, as I will not be able to park a bus where I live, and I inquired at a Storage facility (outdoor parking).
They said to store a bus would be about $100 per month.
Has anyone worked on their bus conversion in a Storage facility?
Or looked into it?
If so, did you have any issues?

My Busses are stored at a U-haul facility.. it has a roof but not closed in garage.. they seem not to care about peoiple working as long as you dont leave a mess when you leave each night, and dont destroy their pavement.

I swapped a transmission last year, and year before installed dual A/C units on my other bus there..

some of the more 'elite' lots will expressely prohibit and enforce work being done.. there were a couple in florida like that..

respect their property and keep it clean, dont leave your bus in shambles.. (ie half raised roof ) and you'll likely be fine.

Had my old BB at a couple of storage locations and worked on them there a lot. Just check with owners first. Most are OK as long as you don't make a mess. Others will toss you out. Best to get their rules straight before committing.

it also doesnt hurt to get their "feel" as well.. my sgtorage unit has to put in writing that you womnt work on stuff.. (insurance reasons).. but they dont mind, and the fact that since its in there, if you did start making a mess they have a path to boot you out..

almost no storage facility will openly say "yes you can gut a bus on our property"..

You should ask them and look at the contract they will make you sign.

I have rented storage where the owner told me I was free to work on stuff and could use the power outlets, etc. Other places it said in the contract very clearly that I could not work on stuff.

You will probably have better luck dealing with smaller non franchised "mom and pop" places.
