PEX water pipe ?

I used sharkbite fittings , work great, and reusable, little more money worth it.

I used 1/2" PEX also. It's quite freeze resistant (it stretches lengthwise rather than rupturing) but not very flexible. Used the clear reinforced plastic tubing where I needed to make any tight bends. Some members here have said that the clear tubing can be stretched/ruptured by high water pressures.

I got a cheap crimper at Home Depot that worked well for limited use.

I have that crimper too. I use it with a pair of vise grips and have to clamp down, re-adjust the vise grips, clamp again, etc for a few times. It's a pain compared to the $100 tool with the handles, but if you aren't doing too many crimps it's not a bad deal. The sharkbite connectors are easy, and removable, but at $6+ a pop, it adds up quickly.

I cannot imagine using anything else BUT PEX in a bus?
-much more flexible than copper
-much lighter than copper
-much cheaper than copper
-easily dismantled/re-installed with Sharkbites or nylon fittings(found at RV store)

*Sharkbites will end up costing as much as a crimper, BUT, they are easily removable with a $2 tool
