pine plank ceiling- how to attach?
So I'm 70% through my conversion and I will post lots of pics and topics when I finish, however I am stuck for the 2nd or 3rd time with finding good fasteners
So this time, I need to attach pine planks I had milled at 3/8" think to the ribs of the ceiling. I have "dead wood" in between most of the ribs 2x4 and 2x6 scraps which will help obviously when I'm in that location,... however 90% of the planks will be attached to the ribs with liquid nails and whatever good fastener I can find that will work.
#1- 3/8" wood planks to steel. however I want a small furniture type head on the screws so that I can limit the visual of tons of wood filler
#2- self tapping
any experience here? I've seen lots of photos on google of plank ceilings, I'm hoping someone else can shed some light on this.
I know McMaster Carr and Grangier may have something, but you know what thumbing through there catalogs can be like...
Thanks in Advance,
