Power unlock for original door

has anyone on here ever put a motor to "unhook" the original bus door opening arm? what i mean is so you can push a button and undo the catch that locks it closed. i have been playing around with it for a few days now and just wondering if anyone else had done this? any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Re: Power unlock for original door

i think ya gotta be more specific.. things like autoloc solinoids maybe 65 lb ones are used for locking, etc in street rods. before that, we would get old gm door solinoids and make door poppers from them.
