Re-send interior ceiling panels to fill blank windows

Hey All, haven't been on in a while. I finally got my rig moved via tow truck to my company's yard a couple of weeks ago and have been able start in on it. Earlier today I was removing the ceiling panels when it occurred to me that I could maybe reuse some to fill the spaces where windows have been removed. Currently they're filled with plywood chunks covered by super thin Rv tin. Of course the plywood is in various stages of rot. Just wondering if anyone has done this before. Not sure if the metal is a thick enough gauge or what size of rivets I should use to attach it. I was going to buy new sheet metal, but if I can use what I already have, CHA-CHING! Savings!

Someone on here (I believe) did that but with the interior wall panels below the windows. If I can go back and find the thread I'll re-post it!
