Ready for export ?

I keep running into adds for school buses for sale that say something along the lines of "ready for export to south America".
Anyone know why some buses are listed with the word export ?

IDK, but for the price a used school bus is a BARGAIN. They're making a TON.

So what, people buy them here then drive them down and sell them ?

they use them.. chicken busses (theres no transit service so guys build up colorful busses and run their own transit services).. farms use them as transport for employees.. or they cut the tops off and transport harevested crops from farms in them, communities use them to transport families and kids to / from school / work, church as car-pool type vehicles..

It's all relative.. the bus and coach club purists will say turning them into campers is bus abuse.

Just like the classic car purists ripped me for putting auto, AC, power steering, cruise tilt and CD in an old 62 pickup.. well heck I wasn't gonna drop 1000s into a restore just so I could sweat, stand on the brakes, wrestle with a 3 on the tree and listen to 1 speaker AM radio... so I modded it and got disqualified at a Chevy show.., alas I realized there's a relative sense of appreciation in the vehicle world.
All of us here applaud when a roof is raised, yet a guy I know , a school bus pursuit slammed my DEV as " carpenter never offered dash air conditioning ever.."
yet redbyrd is fine because BlueBird offered paint in 100s of colors... go figure lolol.

I dare say the chicken busses are Bad Ass!!!!

Buy some TX buses and stick em on CL.
