Recommend a pure sine inverter?
Upgrading my system. If you have a pure sine inverter (not interested in modified anymore) what size and brand do you have and how do you like it? How much did you pay for it?

I have a Xantrex SW 3000. It will run both my AC, plus some other things. Automatic switching, charges house batteries. You can get them for about $1600.

I have a Magnum MS2000. I bought it as a factory-refurbished for only $1000, but new ones are almost twice that price. It's made in USA, field-serviceable and fully repairable, and built like a tank - I hope to get many years of life from it. I'll probably also get a small inverter just for the fridger, maybe a Morningstar 300W or a small Exeltech.

I'm hoping to find a 1500w to 2000w pure sine for $500-$600. All it really needs to run is an 8000btu window AC (750w continuous, not sure peak) and a mini fridge (100w cont and 550w peak) and then maybe a hundred extra watts for random charging of laptops and such.

While they are expensive, i would suggest at least a 3k, or in my case, I found two 2k ones which are wired for different things... This made extra work as I wired them in, but it doesnt really matter as they now just sit there and do their job.
