removing my governor completely: how to

i do have a question about removing a governor, i think mine is really messing with me. I am going to do a tune up when i get back home to my skoolie (oil, valves, filters, Diesel kleen, ect.) But i would love to find out how to remove the "Compucruise" at the same time. anyone know which wires to connect or cut because i cut the green one and the bus wont run without it. so i taped them back together and it is a security device now, but after the bus warms up it sometimes behaves like it is running out of gas and i would also like to go a little faster than 55 at 2300 with my 4.33 gears ? i think? and 5.9L at545 trans setup

a picture of the unit can been seen in my gallery, titled " G Bus "
any help would be appreciated otherwise ill just keep cutting wires till i am screwed .

I didn't find your pictures but the actual engine governor is an internal part of the fuel injection pump on the 5.9 cummins. apparently you have an auxillary electronic speed control device as well, look for any and all identification on the electronic unit and search the www for info. about it and possibly even the installation manual

Re: removing my governor completely: how to

well i just rolled the dice on this one and tested the wires going into the control box (compucruise computer) and found two of them have power with the ignition on and bus not running. so i cut every wire and connected those two together.
it happened to be a green one and a blue one that was not in the insulated shiny wrapping. the bus still runs and i will repost about any changes in speed but i think it has been disabled as it is on the floor of my saab.

Re: removing my governor completely: how to

the electronic governor is completely disabled but i have not seen any increase in speed at all. i may have to switch over to some dodge forums to find the mechanical tuning specs for my 5.9 cummins.
i have been having some heat related or fuel delivery problems, because after i drive about 20 min at any speed it just starts to slow down and then act like it is running out of diesel, it isn't. then i stop and let it cool down i guess and it will drive fine again for another 20 min or so.
i am super confused and i have replaced fuel filter, changed oil and oil filter, run tank dry with a diesel kleen. to clean injectors.
