Tango, you have done the most beautiful a/c install I've yet to see on this forum.. I'm in love. It really works with the styling of your bus.

My Coleman Mach 15 (15000BTU) draws something like 18Amps
The Mach 13 only draws 9Amps... Wish I knowed that a long time ago...
I really like the underbelly idea for the master bedroom (back of bus)... I'd like to put a small 5000 to 8000 back there in the floor!!
The 5000 only draws 4.8Amps

BUT... I do the the cool down power of my Mach 15 Amperage Eater

Side note:
The 24500BTU window unit only draws 14Amps... [emoji15]
That's amazing!!!!

Thanks for the kind words all...in my case I didn't have many options as far as location but have to admit...I kinda like the way it turned out too.

And Roger the efficiency of the new gen window units. They are pretty amazing these days. Still, the biggest advantage (to me, anyway) is that if one crashes...they can be replaced at any WallyWorld in a few minutes for a fraction of the basic service charge an RV joint would charge just to look at a conventional rooftop unit. All without leaving a big hole in the roof while "waiting on parts".

I am using two "portable a/c units from the big box sotre in my '82 Holiday Rambler TT. I am still trying to figure out how to put in a split system. My problem is jalousie windows in both ends of the trailer with full fiberglass covers over them, and I am averse to cutting them up....
