Running wire

Where can we find info in regards to running wire for a 50amp with ideas and such? Much like the same as RVs just in case anyone asks. I plan to do the same setup.

Howdy and Welcome John!

Are you looking for technical specs/requirements or wiring diagrams/parts?

If the latter, my diagram and description is here. It is one of the less basic variants.

I assume you are talking about installing a 50 amp shore power receptical,
the receptical you need to install on the outside of the bus is a 14-50R, it looks like a 240v receptical but it is not it only has 120v running through it, so dont let it get wired wrong or it will fry everything you plug into it.

From that outside receptical to the breaker panel you probably want 6ga wire,
From the breaker panel to your wall recepticals and lights 12g is best for up to a 20 amp receptical,
14g wire is ok if it is a 15amp receptical or less.

That plug is fine. I am just looking for a wiring diagram or possible pics just to get ideas.

The correct receptacle (or typically found at RV parks) for "50 amp shore power" is a 14-50R - this is a four wire receptacle. There is a lot of confusion over what the power is. In the USA, it is 220 volt power. However; that is accomplished using two 110 volt legs. In terms of RV use, each leg is pulled off and used individually (50 amps @ 110VAC). Thus; you have a total of 100 amps @ 110VAC.
