RV Skylights

Not a very impressive install. This is the picture they put on their website?



The skylights looks very cool, but I hope they have a better way of attachment.

Skylights are notorious for leaking. They are attached similar to a roof vent. They also let in a lot of heat in the summer (and let alot out in the winter). I would rather put in a small awning type window than a skylight. But David said no to the little window idea. I have one in the Class C. It's handy. I guess I will eventually put in a solar vent in the shower.

this is why its so bad "We do not supply frames or flashing kits." so its probably red necked on there some how.

Use an elastometric caulk instead of silicone. The elastometric will adhere longer than the silicone.

You can get it at Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware among other places. It is generally in the roofing section and comes in a tube like regular caulking. Try to get the white. Unfortunately I have only been able to find it in black out here in NM (one place that you would think they would definitely have it in white).
