RV Window Question- Flush Mount?

I'm taking measurements and planning out what size windows to order.
I like the look of the new flush mount style rv windows. Does anyone have any experience with them? How would they work in my application?
Do they only work with a trim ring? They sure would look rad.
Seems that with trim rings, about 2" wall thickness is the maximum. I could maybe be good with this as I'm mostly going to be using this thing as a weekend warrior for trips around the sunshine state and the southeast.

What yall think?

we took my friends window out to change out an rv fridge with a home model. it was a 2011 model with insulated glass. it had a flange on the outside that you screwed thru with trim strips that covered all the screws. the flange was about 3/4 ".the inside trim would fit snug and would adjust to the thickness of the wall. but that was a wall on the slide out maybe 2" thick. this was a horizontal roller type window.

How do the newer "frameless" style rv widows mount? Can I use them without a trim ring?

Apologies for bringing up an oldish thread. Where you ever able to find out anything about the frameless windows? Like how they mount? I'm also looking at windows and was thinking about the frameless ones.

Im still pricing and shopping, and NO- I haven't been able to find out about the frameless style.

You can use them. I used some wood strips with long screws as a temporary trim to clamp the window and get a good squish on the butyl tape. After it sits for a couple warmer days just screw and shim like a normal house replacement window. A lot of the windows on eBay don't come with trim rings.

Would you happen to have any pictures of the process? I was looking at ebay windows, wasn't sure if the trim rings are needed or not. It seems some people just screw the normal framed windows from the outside and just trim the inside when buying the ebay windows.

I can't put my hand to it at the moment, but I saw a video on youtube of someone converting a panel van to a camper. The video showed how to drill out the panels and attach the windows. The fellow doing the conversion tied off the suction holders (while holding the glass) to the frame on the other side of the van to hold pressure on the window while the butyl tape "set up". I thought it was quite ingenious....

You need to see how they put the windshields in rvs. My is scary. Lol
