sandblasting cieling
I've been trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with my ceiling. I'm going to be sporting a sort of industrial themed interior with aluminum diamond plate floors and paneling around the driver. I wanted to keep the vibe of that, but couldn't think of any way to make the ceiling look good and stay light then it hit me. Why not mask off the windows, sand blast the ceiling down to metal (which I assume is strait steel), and then spray it with a clear coat to prevent rust? I'd then replace all of the ceiling screws with black versions of themselves to make them pop out a little more. I've never actually sand blasted anything, but I've always been sandblast-curious. Are there any blatant flaws with my plan? Would this work? I'm hoping this would give it kind of a semi-shiny, brushed aluminum look. If this works, could the same technique be applied to the exterior?
