School bus orange?

Maybe I'm imagining things, but growing up in Northern Minnesota, I swear I recall two orange school buses...#6 and #7 I think. Does anyone else recall school buses being another color other than yellow? The reason I'm wondering is that WHEN I get my bus, I'm thinking of painting it Allis Chalmers orange...I have my reasons! I didn't know if that would interfere with other states colors. I'm in Kansas, now, but my grandfolks still live in the Great White North and I will use it to travel up there to see them on occasion. Thanks.

Ben.

Re: School bus orange?

I still live in the great white north and I've never seen a bus of a different color, save for the ones going down into the pits. Did you perhaps see one of the mine crews out on the open highway? That's not all that uncommon.

Re: School bus orange?

I could have sworn that the bus picked me up and took me to school. But then again, I was only about 5-6 years old and my bus riding memories of that time are a bit fuzzy some 27 years later. We lived on a gravel road, so it could have just been really dirty! This was over in the northwest part of the state, so I doubt it could have been a mine bus. I could just have been totally imagining things too. At that age I could have imagined "The Great Pumpkin" coming to take me away...a la Charlie Brown. Thanks again!

I think I'm still feeling your curse. My 700R4 just started spewing fluid everywhere the other day...after I had already replaced it. It's fixed now, as is my previously non-functional torque converter clutch. The curse of the Vanguy lives on though...
