Seats - no track in floor

HI - New owner here.
I have a 88 Bluebird 12 window to convert. Looking at the floor where the seats are screwed down, I see each seat has 3 3/8" hexhead bolts at the base of each leg. On the wall is a ledge and the seats are bolted to it with larger bolts. I assume there are captive nuts in the floor where the legs bolt down but a quick turn of each head and the screws are loose and just spin. I will try just getting under the heads and prying while turning to get them out. Any suggestions here? I expected a track in the floor but don't seem to have that type of mounting.
thanks for any insites!

Re: Seats - no track in floor

Nuts spinning underneath floor, easiest path? 4-1/2 grinder with cut off wheels

I recommend dewalt .045 or .060 thick from like Lowes, wear gloves, eye protection and hearing protection (for noise and sparks in ears)

Get at least 4 or so, you will use them everywhere

SAFETY.... If you buy a grinder pack from northern tool or harbor freight

Please through away grinding discs that come with pack...way to dangerous...grinders are great for under $25 bucks'

Cut off heads or even legs of seats down low the heads of bolts, remove seats and pound bolts through floor with hammer and punch

Be safe and don't light self on fire

I second the suggestion of getting a grinder and making short work of it.
I bought one good dewalt disc for my old hitachi angle grinder and did the seats on two buses with just the one disc.

Bansil, good note about fire. The back of my left hand has spark burns.

Grinding wheel is working. 15 more seats to go with 4 bolts each. I am wearing gloves now. I found two heaters on the left side under seats that will be used after floor-plan determines their relocation. Funny what you find when removing vehicle interiors.

I'm going to put the "rear" heaters in the front of the bus to make it as toasty as possible while driving it. Then when its parked I'm gong to have "proper" heat in the living area.
Glad you're making progress! I love the seat removal part.
