Seriously thoughts of the Amtran Genesis DT466 MT643

converted 40' bus / toy hauler

What do you guys think? It's pretty cluttered, but some leg work in done and cool stuff included even though I'd be gutting it. I'm mostly interested because of the drivetrain. The retarder is a nice bonus. He would be taking a trade for my 96 sporty worth around 4500 so it's a good deal on both our ends.

I have that model bus and love it. But they didn't gut it and honestly it would be worth LESS to me than a bone stock one from a bus yard.
Under that paneling is funk you don't wanna think about, man. See my thread for pics of one of these gutted.

Are you looking to trade and pay some cash, or just a straight up trade?

I think its pretty cool that it comes with a few appliances, and an interesting wrap/paint job. Those are both worth something, since its stuff you don't have to buy/do. The drivetrain combo is highly desired too.

EastCoast has a point about it not being a true gut - there's still grime and yuck behind those wall panels, but if you're going to gut it yourself anyway, it doesn't matter that much.

According to his measurements he's got 50' inside the bus! A 16' garage and 34' of living space!
