Shortening Bus Skin

Has anyone shortened a 66 pass. school bus skin? Since I didn't post right yesterday I saw several photo's. Does anyone have details on what they done. I'd like to shorten my skin about 10' and have an ATV access at the back with a 7' x 10' dumping flatbed on the bus frame behind. Any Ideas, Help or links greatly appreciated. Have a great day. Working with a Chevy C60 undercarraige.

I haven't done it personally but I have seen many buses that have been done similarly. I think it would be a very good project to consider. Look through the gallery for some ideas.

atv hauler

I have a 1989 Chevy Tomas set up for hauling 2 atvs or 3 street bikes in the back.
I have pics and will get them up asap.
I added an extra door to the back kind of like an extended cab truck and it works great the rest of the bus is all motorhome.

bus shortening

Thanks, I'll await the photos. I started by pulling all but 2nd set of seats from front. Then turned a set a seats around to face them right behind driver. I'll be shortening skin by 8-10' to have flatbed availability and also to be a car hauler. Not much living quarters, will make do around the 10' atv/snowmachine workarea. Especially interested in your extra door pictures, as standard door is only 3' wide and atv & snowmachine are 42-48". I contemplate taking roof off to bottom of window pillars, does anyone see a problem with that. There was one photo of bus like this. I thought pulling rivets was going to do all my work but have come across lots of tack welds that I'm trying to grind out. Been 15-20 above so have been getting to work on it a little. Pulled the 2 aux. heaters loose and looped hose to itself at driver area to have it all out of the way. As to the floor lowering I'll skip and just stoop over. Anybody in the Fairbanks,
Alaska area need seats?
