Simple window lock

I've been trying to think of a simple way of locking my windows from the inside, and I came across these slide locks at Home Depot:

Prime-Line Aluminum Secondary Window Locks (4-Pack)-U 9823 - The Home Depot

Grabbed a pack, and they work like a champ. For added security you could drill a small hole through the window frame where the screw contacts it.

I found it to be a simple fix for me.

Great thought!! We're almost done with body work and this is something that's been on my mind a bit - another thing to add to the list!

Plus, it'll keep the windows from dropping down on their own accord.

Wish I woulda thunka that!

That was my main reason for getting them. My bus lives in my fenced in side yard, not worried about locking it yet, but I hated coming out to the bus after a rainstorm and finding one of the windows had dropped down on its own!

I’m devastated. Someone broke in through my window and stole my Gibson J-15. I’m a busker for a living. Broke my heart along with the arm rests on the front

This should have been a bigger concern for me from the go. Terrible lesson. But thank you for the solution

School buses by default are super easy to break into, but it seems most of us have to learn that the hard way (my bus has been broken into four times). Other points of entry to worry about: the roof hatches don't lock at all, so anyone agile enough to get onto your roof can easily get in; the main passenger door can be easily pried open; and with the fixed windows at the back the gaskets are very easy to cut and pull out. And of course any window can be smashed, defeating any attempt to lock it.

I used to worry about my bus being broken into but I don’t anymore .

Smash and grab car burglary happens all the time. Unless you install bars or something like that there’s no defense. Except a big intimidating dog
