Skinning question

On overlapping skin panels would a person use an adhesive or a silicon this to go along with the rivets.

Thanks

there are several products that work well, PL1 is a good one. its a polyurethane based sealant. sand or scuff up any painted surface to enhance adhesion. good luck

Auto body seam sealer might be a good choice. Isn't PL1 a construction adhesive?

I would use car windshield glue. It is meant for holding things together during vibration and high temperatures.

they make all kinds, it's great stuff! I like it better than solar seal, better adhesion I believe.

Roger that. Great Stuff will eat metal. Fine for indoor woodwork but lousy for use on a skoolie. And for sealing any seams...use "Seam Sealer". There are several brands that are used for OEM manufacturing. They are all urethane based and available though most any auto body repair supply houses. They remain flexible and are paintable.
