Skoolie Club or Associations

Just a quick question I'm in New York City and I usually run from New York City to South Carolina in the summer days. I wanted to know are there any skoolie clubs or associations? If not I am pretty good at organizing groups of this nature and I'm willing to put the work in if anyone is interested.

I do not know of any yet here in great northwest. I am however naming my skoolie the U. S. F. Serenity. USF being the United Skoolie Federation. Which does not exist as yet. Please steal this idea and have go. It would be wonderful to think there may someday be a chapter in every state. Skoolie operators are often distcriminated against by some state parks. They look down on anything not bought off an rv lot for megamoney.

That makes me jealous because you have a group of follow Skoolies. Being a loner here in the NYC area gets blah. Tired of explaining. What I am doing to Non-Skoolies.

Washington state. I should say my skoolie is still a bus. She will not be commissioned till next year. SSI does not afford quick work. So far everything is stripped. Including that stainless table and flooring. I will save over winter months and begin work in spring. Btw, i went with a federation with the idea of a loosley connected group of like minded people. Some of are building motor homes others (me) are building our homes. I will live in Serenity.

I am 100% for this.I am stationed in Louisiana, and I don't know of anyone else around here. I'd love to have meetups within a couple hours of me, or at least have a place we can all go to see when and where people are crossing paths.

If I am really lucky, my skoolie will be livable then. Tell me more about this get together.

Apopka FL. Last weekend of Sept. Live music, beer, some food.
Sandi aka WanderWoman is embarking upon an EPIC skoolie journey and I wanted to throw a party for her, and get together with as many school bus folks as possible.

For Crown (and, because we're sympathetic to their plight, Gillig) owners, the Crown Coach Junkies have a Yahoo forum and are on Facebook, and we have an annual get-together each Memorial Day weekend in Southern California. At this year's shindig the Voice of America filmed us for a short documentary that was dubbed into Russian - now some poor sods in Murmansk or Vladivostok or some godforsaken frozen hellhole can see what fun we get up to with our buses in the nice warm California sun. Now that's spreading the word!
