What gauge? If it's thin, you may consider getting a few beads run latitudinally to put some rigidity into them, but I guess it would look good enough...

4 guage difference from ss to mild steel 22ga ss =18ga mild just use a good drill bit and go slow if you do not have good hand held shears cut with a jig saw and a good blade slow and easy ss will look great! cuttin oil helps alot with the jig saw cuts timbuk
