Stair tread
I finally have my new stairs welded in. Now I'm looking for what to cover them with. Any suggestions on rubber stair tread?

Use carpet and brass rods to hold in place...very pimp that way

Pimpin' won't work in this situation. Most of the time we're camping in sandy parking lots. I need low wear-zero maintianance.

We are thinking of astro or artificial turf for the stairs, we have dogs. With the turf we think the dirt should come off shoes & feet & sink into the "turf", then we can shake them off outside once a day or as needed.
If astro turf can be used in football fields, it should hold up pretty well with a few people & dogs walking on it.

Harbor Freight sells tread in various size pieces. It isthick rubber and looks like tire tread. Would last forever I think.

I bought a length of this once to refurbish a step-stool. The tread was fine but the adhesive was absolute crap.
