Stop Sign wires idea

I removed the sign and plan to use the hot wires for 12v charge outlets (cigarette lighter sockets) and to power the cameras on the sides. There will be a camera near each front side mirror and one backup camera.
I also hope to find a use for the motor that moved the arm out. Any ideas here would be great.

I saved the mechanism, too! Haven't found a use for it yet, though.
Perhaps it could be re-purposed as an automatic toilet seat lifter Heck, might be worth using the blinking red lights on the bathroom door, as well!

I actually sought out a stop sign arm and plan on using it to raise and lower my tv antenna whilst parked.

I think I found a use for the motor and mechanism. I am hoping to use it to leverage a stop block for the front door. It will raise and lower a piece from above the door to block it from opening inward. Using a wireless remote, a stem will come down from a hole. The door is bifold to the front.

Such a long long way off for me (we're still bus shopping) but since the stop sign is one of the unique features of a skoolie I've been spending a disproportionate amount of time trying to think of something clever to do with it. I'd actually thought about mounting an electric side mirror mount on the stop sign arm, and then mounting a small led spotlight on that instead of a mirror... the idea being that I could "deploy" the spotlight and then be able to aim it around a little using the joystick that would normally adjust the mirror.

This idea is out. I talked to the guy that is handling my wireless remote for doors, lights, etc. We agreed an actuator is a better way to go. I was just trying to go the cheap quick way.

Use it to raise the roof mounted automatic weapons.

Any chance the mechanism is strong enough to raise and lower solar panels on the roof? Would be great to have some control of the angle of the panels, and be able to lower them electrically when departing.

Not sure I would trust it to do that with a load of snow on the panels. It may not handle the weight.
