Re: stripping motorhome for parts... what should I snag?
The fresh water tank would be something you could reuse easily. When I stripped down m old trailer I saved the fresh water tank, toilet, sinks, gas/110 fridge, stove cabinet doors bathroom door cushions, 12 volt power supply, breaker box, and the air unit. I sold the stove gave away the fridge and the small bathroom sink but I used most of the cabinet doors and the bathroom door and the air unit and toilet and fresh water tank. Window I saved for a little while but ended up trowing them as I like the school bus windows. Mine all work.
I had a nice black water tank on the trailer but when it blew a tire and rode close to the ground it wore a hole in the bottom of it and the metal straps broke loose so it ended up in a dumpster at a rest area with what ever was left in it. That was the weekend that the floor in the bathroom gave up and the sticks wasn't exactly holding on to the frame anymore as I could see it in the mirrors bouncing around left and right. That was the time I decided to go skoolie after looking into a possible repair on the area in the thing. It wasn't worth my time too much dry rot.
