If we could trust Government to do what they say they are going to do, if there was more transparency and not this over-taxing garbage going on while they have plenty of money in their coffers, if - like someone else mentioned - there wasn't tyranny going on and our rights were not constantly being impeded on by regulations or "for our safety", then I think more people would not fuss over paying taxes. I would also think that there would be more checks and balances with more transparency as well, less taxes being collected.

But, for the public school system where I live, my kids do not attend because they are indoctrinating them to believe in socialistic ideals, which goes against what our founding fathers created, fought for, and defended with their lives. I shouldn't have to pay taxes or levies in regards to the public school system, IMHO, when they are teaching our kids anti - American crap. Why would I pay their salaries when I am against what they are teaching, and they ignore/do not involve parents?

I live in Washington state and we are in the 9th District Court Circuit. They ruled in early 2000's that parents do not have a say in their children's education. We have no rights when it comes to our children's education, via the public school system. So, we should not be forced to pay taxes when they refuse to acknowledge our rights, IMHO, and can do whatever they want with our money since we have no say.

They have also taken parental rights away this year when it comes to our minor children's medical care (13 and older). Parents no longer have authority to make medical decisions for our kids, nor do we have access to their medical records. YET, we are still responsible for having insurance on them, making appointments, taking them to their appointments, and paying for their treatments, etc. But we have no legal right to know what we are paying for...

Parental rights are being attacked on all fronts here, so are our right to self govern. We can't do anything if Inslee does not approve. It is getting so bad, especially with this COVID-19 stuff. Phase one, it was not mandated to wear masks. Phase two, it is!!! Ummmm....

We are being taxed at the pump, per mile we drive (coming soon), when we renew our tabs/registration on our cars for road maintenance and they are saying it is still not enough.

We have a couple of representatives that have said 'there is plenty of money, why are they wanting more taxes?' So, it is our right to question what the heck is going on, and say no. But, more often than not, we do not get to vote on these issues, we are just told it is going to be implemented. And, when we have voted, our votes have been ignored!!! That is wrong!

All of it is wrong.

The point I was making about real estate, is that our rights to real property are being ignored. They are a lie. The rights they claim you have is not true. They have been heavily infringed on, minus any discussion about taxes. A few laws they have make sense, but majority do not.
