For some added piece of mind, you could add language to the bill of sale explicitly releasing liability and have the buyer sign a copy for you to keep.

The thought of another Crown going to the scrapper makes me sad....

Check with your state on used vehicle liability. I would think that you could potentially be liable for any vehicle you once owned, rode in, or saw going down the street given the right lawyers these days.

That's silly. Get every penny you can. Crowns are "special".

When you sell a used vehicle its not your problem anymore. You're not a manufacturer, and you aren't providing any warranty or guarantee.

If you're gonna scrap it, let me try to buy it.

I just don't get it, but then I don't live in CA.

I sold my roof raised bus and when I did I felt 100% fine about it. If they wreck it they'll be better off than if I'd sold them my folks' RV.

Post it on here, we'll direct all noobs to your bus!
