Just my opinion, but you're not gaining anything, other than a larger open space, by adding a tip out. The space it takes up on the footprint, went folded in, cannot be used for anything else. I considered tip outs and slide outs myself, but moved away from the idea due to what I actually had to sacrifice to make it work. Other accommodations have to be downsized, or scrapped all together, in order to make it work.
But, if you're just looking to gain that "wide open spaces" feel, its a great option. Deffinetly something to consider, though.
