if you come out to colorady, ill sell you an MT643 from behind a 5.9 for $300. Its still in the bus (bad engine) but it's yours if you want it. The trans shifted flawlessly until the motor was run (without coolant when the lower rad hose burst) and seized. You could have everything from the engine to the shaft.

If you're in Colorado, this is the ticket here. You might have to modify the driveshaft (shorten it I believe) but it should be about as simple of an upgrade that you could make.

I don't understand the phobia of the at540 series trans either. While not the greatest, the things always worked liked they should have for me. Make sure you adjust the throttle cable with whatever trans you choose.
