Welding vs Riveting

What are the pros and cons of welding vs riveting my new skin on after I raise the roof?

From what I've read, riveting is far more likely to survive the flexing of the bus. It is why they used rivets at the factory.

Welding wouldn't be very good for that application. Rivets are what you'll want.
