what to do with extra length of heater hose from rear heat?

what are my options for the 5-6' of heater hoses from the rear heater.

the heater has been removed and a elbow installed looping it back to just recirculate the flow. can I shorten these hoses to get them out of the way of my build. w/o any issues throughout the rest of the system? Ive read a few different conflicting ways to deal w/ this.

Yes you can cut them back to the heater before it or all the way back to the front as long as you loop it and it maintains the same direction of flow. I took all of mine out to the step heater and everything works great!

Im using mine to replace the hoses i had to cut to get the drivers side behemoth heater out. Going to run it from the point where it connects to the 2" heater hose under the hood..
