Which manuals are of the most use to you?

I have a 1992 Ward on an international chassis. I wanted to find out what I need to do to service my bus. Where would I find that info? I'm thinking of something like I have for the car that tells me at this many miles you do this. Do busses have something like that? When you change the oil it needs XX quarts of oil, use oil filter xyz.

Is there a service manual for Ward? For International? Is a parts manual helpful?

I bought service manuals for a 3900FC. Thats what my 1992 Ward Senator is built on. What model is yours?
I got the manuals new in original plastic for $50 delivered from Ebay.

Is 3900 FC the model of the chassis? Is that what I should get a manual for?

That's what mine is, probably yours too. Got a pic of your bus or a model name?

I couldn't find it on the line picking ticket, but I found it on the warranty card. It is a 3800. So that is what I want to get a service manual for? Is there anything else I should get a manual for? Tranny, engine, etc.?

I found a 5 volume set (I only need 3). Do these cover all model years or do I need to find the model year of my bus?

Bump. Are these manuals specific to the year or is there only one manual that covers the chassis regardless of when it was produced?

Most cover a specific model within a couple of years. If you look on the cover it will tell you such an such model from 1995 to 1999.

There are a few exceptions of course, sometimes they change an oil pan design or a hose route.

I think this is where mine came from. They took my offer of $40 or $50 so if you need these don't hesitate to shoot em an offer.

I don't have a way to scan them, but I have the time. One day I'll take one for the team and find a way to scan them and hook people up.
A few days should do it!
