Window Gaskets (Seals)

HI all,

I have a 1990 Ward short bus. The window rubber is dry and cracked pretty much all around the bus. Won't seal much of anything. I've done a search on this forum for suggestions on replacement materials but came up pretty dry.

Anyone find a good source of rubber that will fit these old bus window frame extrusions?

Thank you,

Ross

there are a couple companies out there which specialize in replacement parts like window latches, seals, and such.. schoolbuspartsco is one of them.

some things are universal... the door seals around alot of the older busses are similar or you can make one out of a newer rubber-seal.. typically ive found that House weather stripping doesnt hold up well but the double rubber seal use on alot of cars can be bought sometimes in rolls for around the doors.. I havent disassembled any windows yet.. im lucky in that the only window giving me issue on the old bus is my driver window.. I believe alot of the driver windows were / are similar in size.. once I get tme im going to hit a Bus yard in Ohio and see if i can measure a driver window that is close enough i can make fit from a current manufacturer like IC or Thomas..
