From my experience the HyTech beads (or sawdust, whatever) provide almost zero real insulation. White paint
does reflect sunlight, which provides a cooler surface. No 100 micron thick product can provide any noticeable insulation.. It's been proven time and time again. The results people see and feel are due to the sun's light being reflected away instead of being absorbed, which is an important property, but it's not insulation.
Someone should do a similar test to mine, but in the winter and on the inside of their bus..

did do some tests in the winter!
