I like that old ford. There’s a Chevy up here on CL once in a while with that same bus body on it. The want a fortune for it, said it was a California city bus.

Dang, I was just up there yesterday for work. If I would have seen this Thursday night I would have taken a look at it.

That little blue bus may just be worth a road trip. Would need to be before it gets too hot. There was a similar one in Northern Calif. a while back. Damn.....it's almost in Canada. I wonder what size trailer it would require. I think it would cost a fortune to fly up there, and I don't think a trip of that distance would be a good 1st trip.

That would be a 195" wheelbase. There were only two lengths offered by Chevrolet from '41 to early '47 for School buses. Mine is the shorty at 160" and a couple of larger models were built on the 195-1/8" frame.

Weight and wheelbase would dictate the trailer size. Not sure on the weight but it may be on a placard on the bus somewhere. Actual weight is probably less than 10K, but that's just my guess. The total curb weight of the complete 195" rolling chassis, running gear and Chevy cowl was only 4515 pounds (mine was only 3790).

GO FOR IT!!!

I tried to contact this seller a few times and have not heard anything back. This is definitely a sweet rig.

I love the body curves on those old busses. They have so much character.

All those curve are sweet indeed. But...they are also a real bear to build to.

Ask me how I know.
