seems like a serious buyer for a few weeks now
but I am still new here so I may not be quite as quick to notice these things as others who have way more experience.

Man I sure do. Though I just bought 3 RE 84 Passenger Blue Birds all with reman engines, an '86, '89, and '90. One is a Cat 3208 I think and the others are Cummins 8.3s. Rust free, California buses, good tires, got em all for under $6k!

But this Gillig is special. The roadranger is mighty enticing!

KEEP in mind that RoadRanger will take some getting used to; As the shift pattern will be in reverse.............

Sounds fun to me. The hardest bus I've ever driven was an 82 MC9 4 speed. I think the clutch was the hardest I've ever operated and it was almost impossible to float the gears with 40' long steel rods to connect the lever to the tranny. I drove that around San Fran for a day on a tour and it was something else....

Yes the shift pattern is backwards.
When I have trouble finding a gear my children tell me I am in truck driver mode.
