Not a one, and my camera isn't working. It's only about 20 miles away.

Not exactly a conversion. A factory rig built on an All American chassis.

Yes, the Wanderlodge is basically what we Skoolie people aspire to in one form or another.

The Wanderlodge were the Prevost of their day. Very high end motor coach rv's built on a bus chassis. If you can find a decent used one and have the money, it can be the way to go in some instances if you like the factory layout and powertrain. Engineered and built right from the factory as an rv.

Other forums report the 534 Industrial big block as a 3 mpg wonder. Dependable, but basically used as a short haul medium truck gasser.

I've seen some with Cummins engines listed. This would be my preference.

Yeah, an engine swap doesn't sound good to me either.

I wrote back to the guy and asked if he knew what transmission was in it, or at least how many gears it has.

I wanna buy it!

I got to play around in a Wanderlodge when I was a kid and always wanted one.

The guy said he started it up after he put a tuneup into it, but it needs some carb work. Probably a little gummy.
I'll admit it's tempting because it looks pretty good inside and out. It must have had it's own stall in a big barn. The town, Rickreal, is primarily a real farming town with quite rich looking farmers. I have no doubt this was well taken care of.

were these more heavy duty like a bus as opposed to the seemingly flimsy other commercial RVs?

As noted...the highly prized WanderLodges were built by Blue Bird on the same chassis & running gear used in their "All-American" flat-nosed school buses and had the reputation for being the best built RV in the business. I have seen several skoolie conversions that you could not tell were ever anything but a top-of-the-line motor coach. Had been fully remade to match what the Lodges had from the fancy paint & interior to those big a$$ chrome air trumpets.

What would you guesstimate is the value of this WonderLodge?
