Dude, did yoiu see the picture of the engine under the bus? Someone took off the oilpan-equivalent _years_ ago. There's layers of rust and varmint nests on the crankshaft and con rod bearing end caps.

I agree that it's a tragedy, but some things just aren't worth the effort.

If I had the money, and wanted a classic project, that would have been a good one.

There is a guy in one of the FB groups that has been restoring a Crown ... looks to me like he has spent around 20k on engine and suspension mods, already.

Beautiful bus though.
