Arrow 1992 Bluebird TC2000

$3,500obo

Location: Walterboro, SC

25ft bumper-to-bumper and no air brakes, so no CDL required. Rare, highly sought after bus in the skoolie community. Took me 8 years to track this one down.

Cummins BT6 5.8, Allison 451 4speed auto, and rebuilt rear end. It runs well, but needs a new battery.

It is gutted and I raised to roof 2' for a total of 8'6" of interior head room. Roof raise still needs to completed, but is 80% done - I have the sides on it now, just need close off the front and back. Price includes some sheet metal and angle bar.

It is not road legal at the moment b/c I have the side mirrors removed and the wiring loom for the rear lights disconnected.

I have some replacement mirrors and a rooftop AC unit for sale separately.

Started the project and ran out of money. I've got over $12,000 invested in this project, but the first $3,500 will take it. My loss is your gain.

Willing to consider trades for a 6x10 enclosed trailer. Talk to me.

Clean title in hand. No lowball offers will be accepted. You can check out some more pics on my Page.

Email Adam at adamnicholasb@gmail.com with questions. You can also text me at four-one-zero-two-six-two-fifty five-seventy one.

I believe there are about 200k on the odometer, but the previous owner said he put about 12,000 on it since the odometer stopped working. I put about 1,200 on it personally, so looking at about 215k on the motor. It was a prison bus in its previous life and was very well maintained.

There is some surface rust, but overall it is solid - the prison it was used at was in Tampa, FL and has been in the South its entire life. It has never seen salt or snow.

Not sure about the rear-end... I think the previous owner regeared it to get more topend, but I have nothing to compare it to. It cruises the highway at about 65mph at 3000rmp.

No mechanical issues to speak of, but there will need to be some electrical work to rewire the taillights.

The metal I am including would finish the roof raise if you plan to go with a sloped front portion. I was waffling between a sloped front and a squared-off front - couldn't decide which way to go.

Oh, and it also has a gas generator installed that is powerful enough to run the AC unit, a mini fridge, and a sound system - not sure of the make or model.

Also, I am throwing in a set (4) 20ton jacks which I had planned to use as a leveling system.

I also have a brand new set of Thomas mirrors (the antenna looking kind) for sale ($400) and a rooftop AC unit ($50) for sale separately.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Unless my vision is failing me I believe that looks like a TC1000 and not TC2000.

The TC1000 was introduced in 1997, before that you'd just order a short TC2000 like this one.

I am obligated to correct the post as it contains incorrect engine/trans info. It will be a Cummins 5.9 (6BTA) and an Allison AT545 transmission.

I stand corrected.
Glad my vision isn't the culprit however.

All offers will be entertained. I am hoping to have the bus sold by the end of the month. I am also willing to accept trades/barters. I will be moving out of state and can't take her with me. If you're interested, let me know asap.

Have you posted on the various Facebook skoolie groups? Much bigger audience of people looking to buy there. I recently sold my short bus and it went quickly on Facebook marketplace.

it's posted everywhere, the OP has done his homework.

The thing that kills it is I can't drive it home, and it is a half finished roof raise. If it was a running and driving, gutted bus I would be very interested in it.

Good luck to the seller, very cool rig.

Yeah, I can't afford to get it back on the road. Need to sell it to pay bills. Thought I had priced it to sell, but no bites yet. My belt is getting pretty tight...

I’m sure I rode in one of these very buses in grade school that I am now driving next to on Blossom Hill Road. Now that I think about a good chunk of Oak Groves fleet looks like it’s about to retire.
