1993 International 3700 School Bus - Gutted, Painted, Ready to Renovate in CT

With much regret, I'm listing my bus for sale...

It's a 1993 International 3700 with a Spicer 5-speed manual transmission. I bought it about a year ago from Carroll County Public Schools in Maryland, and I have all of its maintenance records. It has 55,604 original miles on it. The bus was used very lightly by Carroll County; they brought it out a few times a year to inspect the other buses at the lots around the county and do driver training. It's in fantastic shape, I must sell because I started graduate school and don't have time to fix it up (and won't have time for several years).

Bus is located in Naugatuck, CT. I live in Westchester County, NY.

I put an entire set of brand new high-quality tires ($2500 worth, preparing for winters in New York) on it last August. At that time, it also had an oil/filter change.

I gutted the entire inside last summer before grad school started. I also did the Ward tar battle (not quite perfect, but pretty damn good IMHO). It's basically ready for someone to come in and make it your own.

Bus has been retitled as RV, and has current insurance and plates. I also installed a Class IV tow hitch and have a Stehl Tow dolly for sale too. The tow dolly was purchased new in August 2016 for $1300. Tow dolly was used for one trip, to bring my car up from Virginia.

Asking $5000 for the bus, $1000 for tow dolly.

PM me if you're interested.

Thanks, man! Yeah, I think somewhere down the line (e.g. after grad school), I'll probably buy another bus and live out the dream. Sadly, I don't think I'll find as good of a bus next time. But, also I don't think it makes sense to keep a bus for years while I have no time to work on it.

Here are some photos of the auction back in May 2016, when I bought it. Honestly I haven't done much to the cockpit area. I kind of left it intact so I could still drive it around.

Here's the dog pretending to drive:

Awsome bus. I also sold all my stuff before grad school. Was looking for a room to rent and found a guy that wanted to rent his truck camper in the backyard for $500 a month. I couldn't help but laugh.

Are you planning on living in that truck camper next to the bus? Just find a place to park it and you're good to go. All the facilities you'll ever need are on campus.

Good luck, study hard and live the life of a library hermit. It will pay off after graduation.
