But Hey! I am walking today and can sit at the computer
We have decided to sell out bus

*****FUN STUFF BELOW*****
1995 Thomas Safe –T-Liner bus Rear Engine!

Specked out for Colorado Rocky Mountain use

Registered and licensed as an RV in the state of Kansas
State Farm has my insurance as a Bus

195000 miles 8000 hours
1) Rear engine
2) 75 pax
3) 250 hp. 8.3 Cummins
4) MTB 643 Allison automatic with retarder (4 speed lockup Converter)
5) Wheel well spray guards
6) Air brakes
7) Air seat
Fire extinguisher
9) Air door
10) Spring suspension front and rear
11) Tinted windows
12) Rear air foil
13) Heated mirrors
14) Budd wheels
15) 2015 Colorado State safety inspection for school bus
16) Governed at 28~2900 RPM
17) Will run down the interstate at 70 MPH easy without being against the governor
1 72 inch head room
19) 38 ft bumper to bumper
20) Wabasto heater
21) Two huge pass through bays
22) Side egress door
23) Two roof egress hatches
24) 4:33 rear end gear ratio
25) Remanufactured engine by Reviva (unknown date and mileage when it was installed)
26) No leaks except on one bay door where the seal is missing
27) Very good tires
2 Only rust is on the screen on the radiator side
29) Celling sheet metal is held on with screws not rivits
30) Holds air pressure for weeks

Work done on this conversion:

1) Passenger seats unbolted and removed
2) Interior luggage racks removed
3) All ignition interlocks correctly removed from the egress doors and Hatches
4) Bolt holes filled with anti-sag exterior silicone
5) Replace a defective chassis relay
6) Remove front and rear flashing lights, cover with 20 gauge steel discs
7) Remove decals
Remove stop arm and install carriage bolts to seal holes off
9) Install sub floor on 16 inch centers over recycled denim insulation (R9after compression)
10) Removed the three passenger compartment heaters (I still have these as I planned on reusing 1 of them as I progressed with the build)

I purchased this bus specifically because it had most of the things I wanted in a bus conversion platform. My wife and I have spent a great deal of time looking at various bus conversion and what was available from the local schools, we decided we would be patient and find the one we really wanted. This was the closest to that platform and it had just been traded in at Rocky Mountain bus in Colorado.

I paid $8,500 for this bus a little over two months ago, so my price is $8,500. When you add up what it would cost you to get all of the extras that this bus has this is a good deal.

Thanks
Cliff

Thanks for the good wishes everyone, I am in the slow recovery mode so things are moving positively along.

I called engine re-man company and per information from Reviva, the re manufactured engine was a complete drop in including turbo, done in 2007, when the bus had 167,295 miles, we just went out to the bus and checked the exact mileage, the bus has 195,409 miles on it at this time. The only engine has 28,114 miles on it.

Serial # of re manufactured engine is #830265, re manufactured by Reviva, part #61F4D250BR.

here is a link that explains what is included in a complete drop in engine package

61F4D250BR by REVIVA - Cummins 1994-98, 8.3L, 250HP, Bus, HMRO, Rear Sump, Drop-In

This engine has less than 30,000 miles on it.
obviously it is not a brand new engine but check out just the price of that engine if you purchased it today $11,000
The engine alone as a core charge is almost $3,000

Parts Included

Long Block Supreme
Complete fuel system
Turbocharger
Exhaust Manifold
Intake Cover
Vibration Dampener Assembly
Oil
Water
& Fuel filters
Features

All engines remanufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications
Reviva replaces with OEM or equivalent pistons; rings; bearings; bushings; gaskets and seals.
All heads get new valves and are vacuum tested to ensure the quality of the valve job.
All heads are pressure tested.
All connecting rods are de-magnetized and controlled for length.
Connecting rods have new bushings installed and both large and small end are re-machined to OEM specifications.
Core plugs are 100% replaced.
Blocks; heads; and crankshafts are 100% magnaflux tested to avoid cracked components.
Reviva utilizes torque plating methods for boring and honing to ensure block straightness.
Cylinder blocks are 100% bored and decked on CNC machining centers.
Crankshaft is checked for size--reground (if necessary)--and polished to OEM specifications.

For that kind of money, I would want the MD3060.

Nat, I see you have been on this forum a long time and are one of the more active members; if I could get your input as to what you think is fair for purchaser and seller for a value this bus should be marketed at?

I welcome input from anyone as long as they have read all the description and taken an honest look at pictures and provide how they came to the final price range.

Thanks in advance
Cliff
