the only DT466 I ever saw an AT545 on is a conventional with a 175 HP rated engine. those were low power DT-466E's run mainly in the mid-late 90s.. though you could get them later.. i didnt see many of them after 2000.
ive never seen the 190 HP version of the 466E with a 545.. i think the torque specs exceed the 545..
its pretty easy to tell.. drive it and in the first 2 gears of a 643 you'll notice that as you lightly increase / decrease throttle, the tach seems to freely move up down almost like you are in neutral.. same with a 545..
when you get into 3rd gear.. big differences.. on a 545 you'll notice the same thing with Light changes in pedal poressure.. the tach moves freely up and down..
on a 643 you'll feel like the engine and trans are more "Locked" and you'll notice the tach only moves up or down slightly as the engine speed increases or descreases.. not wildly as you lightly change pedal pressure.. obviously if you press the throttle too haerd tyou'll downshift and the tach shoots up then.. (on both)..
you'll notice the change from 2nd to 3rd gear the way it operates if you have a 643...
