Took down the CL ad.
Maybe I'll do some paint work, yank the seats and ask a bit more. I'll still be cheaper than the dealers!
If anyone here is interested, let me know. Its still for sale.

A little over 15 feet from the back of the driver seat to the back door. just a hare shy of 78" of headroom. 90" wide inside.

oops i missed this.. he doesnt need a scan tool at all.. you can flash the trouble codes by turning on the key and pressing the diagnostic button next to the diagnostic connector... it will flash out the codes on the warning lights on the dash.

if a scan tool is used.. it would be a Deutsch 6 pin J1708 connector.. and the Navistar Servicemaxx J1708 software..

I was driving this around Shauns property the other day, and man I swear I think this bus is faster than my Dodge van!

FYI when i ran the codes on it when we were together one time, I didnt find anything. it was clear and all the values were right in the normal range.. (ICP, IPR, IPR duty cycle, oil pressure)

EastcoastCB,

My scan tool came in today. I am still interested in seeing the bus. Just trying to get my wife's schedule for next week to see if we can head your way early next week. Looking forward to meeting you!

Cool, looking forward to meeting yall.
I'm off of work, or at least any long days, for a couple weeks.
In the meantime, I'll keep chipping away at paint prep. I'll post some new pics in a day or so.

Interestingly a school are coming to look at the bus. They wanna paint a shorty white and use as a utility vehicle.

Annnnnnnd here's why CL buyers suck.
Guy talked to me for two weeks. Both calls and emails. We discuss the bus at length, I send him pics. He shows up with two "techs" who don't seem to know the first thing about diesels or trucks in general. They couldn't figure out how to start it, or how to close the hood.
They never even started it. The guy was like "Oh, man, this doesn't have AC?".
not even kidding.
Does ANYONE on CL actually READ the text or what??

Thanks to all who have helped out with Eddie's fund so far. This forum has some really amazing folks for sure!
When these buses sell he's getting 10% of the money!

wow!! seems like anyone that knows busses wouldve looked and seen that it had no A/C.. hmmm lets see.. no Vents on the dash or the ceiling... kinda gives it away...

OK so maybe im an A/C hawk BUT having no air vents anywhere in the pics kinda says it has no A/C.. the guy probably brought a scan tool for a regular car too..

They didn't bring a scan tool. They just looked at the bus for about 90 seconds then left.

Damn, this beautiful weather has me wanting to work on buses!

Some new hardware and the wheel arch trim is back on.

I think the next step will be to tape off ALL the roof seams and apply some new seam sealer, for good measure.
Once I finish sanding the whole bus, and get the holes from the deleted trim and pieces filled I'll be painting it satin white. Price will go up if I paint it.

One more try!

https://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/d...370002746.html

After this attempt, I'll paint it white, yank the seats out and ask a couple grand more.

Took the front-most entry door side of today. Its been slow to open and rusty at the bottom.
Stripped the paint and rust off the lower, welded in some new steel, primed it, then greased everything before reinstalling with new fasteners.
No pics yet, still waiting on those!
Never took an entry door off before, took a bit of doing.
