1998 Amtran Genesis DT466 Mechanical and MT643

Hello everyone! For some reason my first post was deleted, so I'll try again. Mods, if this is deleted could someone please tell me why? thanks in advance

1998 AmTran Genesis with International DT-466 (MECHANICAL) engine and the Allison MT643 Automatic Transmission. Titled in Georgia as a Motor Home, Clear Title in Hand.

History of the Bus:
Manufactured in January of 1998 by the American Transportation Corporation (AmTran). Until July of 2018, this southern rust free activity bus spent its entire service life in an Alabama School System. Basement storage.
144,707 original miles
VIN: 1HVBGAAN9WA084417

The Engine:
International DT-466 (MECHANICAL) HT (High Torque) 7.6 Liter Turbo Charged Diesel. For skoolie enthusiasts in the know, this is the rarest and most coveted engine for a skoolie conversion.
This DT466 features a Model A210 High Horsepower variant that produces 210 HP at 2300 RPM and 605 LB-FT Torque at 1500 RPM!
Serial # 469GM2U1084624

The Transmission:
Highly Durable Allison MT643, 4-Speed Automatic Transmission with a Torque Converter that locks in 3rd and 4th gear.
Rated at 640 LB-FT Torque and a GVWR of 73,280 lbs.
Serial # 2430578211

The Coachwork:
AmTran “Genesis” 14 Window
Exterior Length – 40’ Interior Buildable Length: – 34’
Interior Buildable Width: – 90”
Ceiling and Walls are SCREWS. No RIVETS!
(2) Carrier AC Units (Front & Rear)
Drivers Heater, Stairwell Heater and a Floor Heater in the middle of the bus that I removed but still have.
Air Brakes with Air Dryer.
Serial # 84417

The Tires:
Riding on a matching Set of 6 Bridgestone Premium All-Position Radial “ECOPIA” R268 11/R-22.5 tires that were installed in early 2018. At $677.93 a piece, that’s $4,067.58 in just tires alone.

Current Status:
Titled and Registered in Georgia as a Motor Home with Clear Title in Hand.
Until very recently, the conversion process was actively underway. All of the hard, time consuming things have already been done. This includes the following: All 28 seats have been removed. However, two seats were saved to build a dinette table/booth. The wood from the seats was reclaimed and can easily be repurposed for your conversion. All of the rubber flooring has been painstakingly removed. The steel flooring has been prepped and primed with a coat of Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Metal Primer. All of the school decals inside and outside of the bus have been removed.

Everything that you see in the pictures goes with the bus. It can all be moved around to suit the particular layout of your skoolie conversion.

Partial list of included items:
(2) Kitchen Cabinets with Counter Top
(2) Height Adjustable Workstations, (2) Swing Arm Platforms, (2) Keyboard Holders, (1) Samsung Monitor, (2) Horizontal Storage Cabinets w/Multiple Dividers, (1) Vertical Storage Cabinet w/Multiple Dividers
Galvanized Tub for the Shower
(10) Sheets of Galvanized Steel to enclose the Shower/Bathroom Walls

(1) Mr. Longarm 35-1/2 in. Tele-Roller Handle
Asst. Brushes, Paint Roller Tray
(2) Large Fire Extinguishers
(2) First Aid Kits
(1) 500 lb. Capacity Ingress/Egress Step Stool for easy Rear Door Access,
(1) Large Outboard Prop to mount on Rear Bumper, Asst. Hardware, Etc.

Wrap Up:
Why is the bus being offered for sale? It’s not by choice! Due to a complaint from a busy body neighbor, I can no longer park the bus at my apartment. That is the only reason that I’m testing the waters and offering it for sale at this time. Sell it or move, and moving is not an option at this time. I searched for more than a year to find this specific bus. If you’ve done your research regarding skoolie conversions, you know that the International DT-466 (MECHANICAL) 7.6 Liter Turbo Charged Diesel engine mated to the Allison MT643 transmission is probably one of the most sought after combinations. On top of that, a southern “Rust Free” bus is highly desirable. Activity buses are also in high demand by skoolie enthusiasts for their built-in basement storage and the fact that their use is specifically highway miles. Although the bus had to be moved and I’ve done that, I don’t have to sell it. So please, serious inquiries only.

For anyone wanting to build a skoolie, this bus has everything that you could ever want: the engine, the transmission, the low highway miles, the basement storage, southern rust free bus, and a set of six like new tires! I believe that this bus is specifically meant for a special person! It will make someone very happy. If you believe that person is you, I encourage you to contact me. Text 706-409-4368 for additional pictures or questions. I'm located in NW Georgia. Thank you.
