2001 Blue Bird

This is the bus I've been strongly considering.
Used 2001 Blue Bird Blue Bird near Kankakee, IL - Midwest Transit
It has an MD 3060 trans, intially I thought it might have the at 545. I plan to go as light as possible when I convert it. The back half will empty of anything to be like a work space. It also has the 5.9 cummins. I was curious if anyone had thoughts on how sluggish it might be on hills.

Midwest is a knowledgable and fair priced dealer. I think more people look negatively towards the AT545, than the Cummins 5.9 that is probably the most common motor in standard school buses. This particular bus has relatively low miles and if it has a 3060 then their asking price is not out of line at all. Tampa Bus Sales would list that bus at between $8-$15K, they recently purchased a bus a member was following and TBS won it for just over $4k and put it on their lot for $15999
