2002 bluebird 29' partial conversion for sale in Utah

I'm selling my skoolie conversion. I'd say it's about 80% to 90% of the way done. A bit about the build, I built this for Utah weather which means really cold and snowing in the winter and blazing hot in the summer so it has been insulated to withstand those changes. There's just over two inches of spray foam insulation in the ceiling, three and a half in the walls and about an inch in the floor.
It's 9 windows or 29' from the front of the flat nose to the back allowing it to fit perfect in two parking stalls.
It has a queen size bed and was designed so that the couch could be converted into just shy of a twin (the couch is built but it can not convert the way it is currently built.)
The flooring is manufactured laminate that is scratch resistant and durable i believe the brand name is 'lifeproof.'
It has been completely off grid for the nearly nine months of living in it full time. There's two 100 watt solar panels that attach into a 1400 lithium ion goal zero yeti that powers the entire bus. Thers a 60quart dometic refrigerator that runs off the solar with no issues. There's four different remote controlled string LED lights with the ability to change and customize each.
The bus has had zero mechanical issues since being purchased in Nevada last year, and every shop weve broght it into has commented on how nicely it purrs. There's just over 215,000 miles on the odometer. The bus does have a small coolant leak somewhere but it hasn't been more than needing to be topped off every month when we move it. The bus has been started regularly while it's been parked. When the bus was bought last year we were told the tires were in great shape and it's had very few miles added to it this year since I've mostly been staying put trying to finish the build.
A few other things to note is it has a composting toilet, a garage that can be accessed from both the side wheelchair access door on the back passenger side of the bus and the back emergency exit. There's also storage under the bed that's accessible from inside the bus and storage under the couch. There's just over nine feet of counter space and a 'kernel' space built into the cabinets under the counter, my sixty pound dalmatian loved the space and it had plenty of room for him and his toys.
There's a dwarf 5kw wood burning stove with the added oven attachment from tinywoodstoves.com. The bus was completley gutted before we insulated and there was only one spot of surface rust when the floors were removed which I treated and then we also painted a coat of rust resistant paint on the bare metal before setting up the furring strips.

I'm very sad to be letting the bus go. It's been a dream of mine to travel in a school bus across the country for many years and it finally seemed like the right time. Being honest with myself though, I realized that this bus is way bigger than me and my dog need to travel and circumstances have changed to the point that traveling won't be possible for another couple of years for me. I'm hoping my loss will be the start of a great adventure for someone else.

Asking price $15,000 OBO

More pictures will be added throughout the week if there's anything specific you'd like to see comment and I'll try to get to it asap.Click image for larger version

Interested! More pictures would be nice....I’m assuming it’s a Cummins 5.9 fe with an Alison 545? Any chance that coolant is getting into oil? Interior height?

I will make sure to get a photo of the engine I'm not sure what transmission it has but its been a nice drive up the steep canyon roads I had to take it on to get it to it's current spot. I do not believe it's getting into the oil it is just dripping onto the ground. I'm also not the most mechanically inclined but after I purchased it I brought it into our local Cummins dealership and they didn't mention anything more than that the coolant was leaking and to make sure it stayed topped off. I believe the tallest standing height is 6'1" that's how tall my boyfriend was and he was able to stand comfortably. I will get an exact measurement and update this post along with the extra photos.

Bus still available?

Hi,
Is the bus still available? Can you post more pics please?
Where/ what area of Utah is the bus now?

I'm in Utah Valley ( or will be rather soon) & I'm looking for a Skoolie as Tiny home to live in - soon (this December-ish).
Thanks!

Yes the bus is still available. I have attached more photos. I'm showing it to some people this weekend but if none of them buy it I'll keep this thread updated. Let me know if you have any questions Click image for larger version

Should be a 2000 Allison. My 2002 Bluebird CSFE has that in it. Probably a 4 speed like mine. 3 speed with an overdrive.

The allison 2000's have 5 forward gears. 5th is overdrive.

Greetings,
Thanks for more pics.

Love that your bus is insulated.
So so sorry you & your dog are not able to take to the road now, after all your HARD work on the bus! Hopefully at later time, in an even more awesome bus. I wish you well.

Had a few questions:

How do you cook in it?
Woodstove looks awesome & having the oven on top is great. But it looks like the oven covers the top of the wood stove surface. So, assuming ( always a bad idea. Smilr) that there is no surface to cook in pots on? Please correct me, if I'm wrong. Attempting to understand.

Are there any water tanks? Clean &/or grey?
Is there a reservoir attachments to woodstove to heat water?

As for the sink. In pics it looks like its in a corner with a glass jug on top. Where does the grey water go? Is there a filter for the clear water?

Where does the yeti live in the bus?

Is there a shower? If not, is there space/room for one?

Are there any hook ups? Not essential, just wondering.

Thanks much,
J

Not all do. The ones in transit buses do not. I have check with the allison serial number site and called my local Bluebird dealer. It was confirmed that I have a 2000 with a 3 speed with an overdrive.

Congrats!!!

Can you post a picture of the shifter?

Some of us are curious about the 3/4 speed 2000.

Steve, I will post a picture of the shifter.

It has R - N -D -OD then 2- 1 ( I think )

It has 4 gears, as I count them shifting.
This is my first automatic transmission vehicle I have ever owned, so sorry for the inexperience and noob questions.

I got it up to 75 in it although I suspect the spedo is not accurate, as cars were still passing me.

It's very loud when the turbo spools up ( is this normal? ) screeching and whining noise from the dog house.
At 65 you could not have a conversation at normal volume in the drivers seat of the bus.

Under 40 mph it's not too loud unless you step on it.
