2003 thomas, 146,792 miles, $2,500 asking, nj

Hello All,
2003 Thomas Built School Bus Vehicle starts and runs. Maintained every 3000 miles. Removed from service 4/2017. No cracked glass. Minor scratches, dents and dings. Some Decals have been removed and impressions may remain. Rust damage [see photos] No damage to seats or floor. 146,792 miles

Bus was purchased to be converted into a skoolie but my situation has changed and it isn't going to happen.

The bus needs a new battery; however, it runs every time the battery is jumped. Last time I drove was about six months ago. The bus was parked on soft ground and it is a bit stuck. I could have the battery jumped before you pick it up. I have all maintenance records.

The Title is Clear; however it states the color as "white" since I was planning on painting it white, but that did not happen. So the bus is still, in fact, yellow. The pictures were taken recently.

I paid $3,500 for this bus [have the receipt] purchased directly from the local HS. I am asking for $2,500 or better offer.

The bus is located in Budd Lake, New Jersey

Looking at the VIN tag looks like a 3126 and a AD2000

I believe the Engine is Caterpillar and transmission is Allison.
Sorry, don't know much about cars--we purchased this bus for a skoolie project but I lost my husband last year and I won't be able to do it on my own. If you need more pictures let me know

Sorry for your loss. You are correct about the drivetrain.

I know not everyone loves CATs but the 3126 is a good engine. And the 2000 series is a good transmission.

Seems like a good vehicle for the right project.

The Cat 3126 is as good as any, better than many.

Home for the bus?

AnaSkooly,
Did you find a home for the bus? I'm in NJ and looking to convert a bus.

If I was about 2000 miles closer I would give the lady her $3500.00 back in a heartbeat! It's still a bargain at that. I paid 3500 Cdn. for my 92 Bluebird 11 window about 8yrs. ago.
