My gf and I bought this bus last year from a Head Start Program in New Jersey.
Drove it from NJ to KY without any issues. (had to add power steering fluid once and radiator coolant once.)Never overheated, just topped off.
The bus was hardly used due to the fact that most of the children either walked or were driven to school.
This bus gave us hopes and dreams of living in and exploring the US in ways only our imagination could show us.
Everyone wants to know why are we selling a bus with such low miles. Well... this may sound a bit unusual; my gf and I are fulfilling our dreams of becoming sailors and since the bus cannot float (very long) we don't have a need for it.
I'm a firm believer in being honest from the get go so here is everything Good, Bad, and Ugly:
The Good:
- Mileage (Great! 55989 original miles)
- Tires (Rear are great, front are good)
- Body is mostly good with a few minor dents
- Windows are all intact with no leaks
- Doors (Good no leaks)
- Transmission (Good no issues)
- Half of the seats are removed
- Two Napa Commercial batteries (excellent condition)
- Already Registered as a Motor Home
The Bad:
- Radiator (has a slow leak)
- Power steering pump (has a slow leak) I have the seals for the pump ready to put on and may have them installed before you purchase the bus.
- Instrument Panel hour meter not working properly (youtube shows you how to fix this issue cheap. Common problem)
- Instrument Panel voltage meter not working (youtube shows you how to fix this issue cheap. Common problem)
- Air conditioners (2) are non functional, but still intact (may need recharging)
The Ugly:
- Dent on the top rear passenger side (non leaking)
Below is a link to a bunch of photos of the bus inside and out.
Please note that the interior photos show passenger seats behind the drivers seat. The seats are still there, although they are not bolted down. They are just there for storage.
