That's why I say we need to have their phone numbers. We can then call them and ask if they take skoolies. I would bet that they would get really tired of people asking and complaining about there desire to turn away business.

I don't tell them I have a converted bus, I simply say I've got a 33' Motor Home...

As for the rally, we'll have to see, I don't plan that far ahead. Besides, I've got my bus listed for sale and I really hope I can find a buyer for it before next July!!

Re: 2010 RV Rally in KY

I hardly ever try and use camp grounds like Good Sams or Wee Wee pines. If I did they always (most of the time) had me park in the rear, you know by the enployees entrance. Im wondering why hasnt someone made up a list of places that shut skoolies out. As the Obamany slowly sinks into the craper perhaps camp grounds will get on board with the Obama change are face the death review board. We should use this device that Al Gore gave us to let all the other skoolies know where these unamercain camp grounds are and to avoid them. But in return informing fellow skoolies were the freindly places are. My money is just as worthless as those guys driving those 75,000 dollar tin and staple yahts. Love God are go to hell. Russell

2010 RV Rally

I bring you bad news. Nice quiet RV parks do not want/need any old buses. Old buses are not big spenders and bring a great many problems. Nice RV parks do not want any engine work done there. The nice parks do not want the junk, noise, music, and repair.
The only possibility for having a schoolie gathering is to find some private property with some water and electricity. Most folks do not want to drive for 5-7 days and stay only 5 days. I am in Idaho and I would not drive that distance for just a couple days. An event like this will take lots of planning. If 15 buses came to an RV park expecting a "rally", the police would be called and many problems would show up.
There must be some sort of organized events even if it just ditch jumping or drag racing. One one rally I attended long ago, we played a game of golf for 6 holes with a single club. Lots of fun. An old man some 67 years old won the drag race with a 1966 GMC automatic and 450HP.
Private property is the best place to hold any bus gathering. There are many many things to consider. I have been to Ky several times and there are lots of places to visit in that area. Destination events take lots of planning and maybe even some insurance. I'll attend but only if there is some activities. frank
