What do people think of this?

Keeps dropping the price, at $4500 right now. Anyone know the transmission this would have? And if you would need a CDL?

I like it. They're on Ebay too, I think.
I'll buy one if I can get one cheap at an auction. I love the size and look of it! Plus its got a DRIVER'S door! damn!

I like that size bus as well. I have to wonder what the seller, being in Cleveland, considers "minor rust."

That is interesting. It's like a cutaway bus except on a international frame. I also vote for a driver's door whenever possible.

I have reached out to the seller, and will update when/if I get a reply.

Did some research. First off, I'd like to formally call dibs on one of the buses pending a visit. Three buses total, two '97s and a '96. International 3400s with bodies by Mid bus. Type A II. Built on an International 4700 chassis with a T444E and I think Allison transmissions. They've got under under 80K miles, the guy said they've sat most of their life, but started 3 months ago. Is there anyone in Cleveland that would want to check these buses out? I'm located in WI, and unfortunately I can't afford to go to Cleveland to check out a bus without knowing for sure that I'll come home with something.

Thanks!

At least you got a response from the seller well. IF someone has a chance to check them out, please try to look at all 3, and report on their condition. The
"They sat most of their life" is of some concern, but it's hard to find a low mileage vehicle that hasn't sat a lot. The starting price of 10k, was a dreamers price, 7k was too. 4.5 isn't terrible, but it's a lot closer to my budget. If you get more info. from he seller, please let us know.

I'd imagine they have some rust being up there.
I think $4500 is high, personally.
$3500 and they may just sell em. But folks pay a lot for buses these days.

Buses seem to be selling like hotcakes. Are we going to be a bus nation?

ECCB , I think you're right about the rust thing. I asked seller to take some pictures of the underside, BUT no reply. I still like the size of those things though.

When I kept asking questions he told me to come check them out if I wanted more info. He doesn't do any service or anything with the buses, just trying to sell them.

For the price, he ought to be willing to send some pics. He obviously knows how to take them.

still a bit pricey for a cleveland bus... it looks nice(assuming not rusty underneath) and if the mileage in the ECM matches the dash it could be a good grab... but id say 3k tops..

im guessing its an AT545 trans in it.. could be lucky and be a stick or a 643..

$4500 for a lower spec bus with possible rust issues and a seller unwilling to come up with info and/or pics- Sounds like a possible BAD deal to me.

Yup. I'd happily pay $2000-$2500. $3k would be tops for that kind of bus, and only if the rust is really minor.

Yeah, I figure its gotta be pretty rusty due to all the factors involved. Especially the seller's response when asked about rust.
